Hillary Clinton is calling on the US to abandon Iraq and lose to Islamicists. She is only concerned with winning the presidency and by pulling out before the 08 election, she won't have to be a leader and take a position on fighting Islamicists in Iraq during the campaign. That issue will be off the table and that is what all the democrats want because they do not have any plan except to retreat and pull out.

Army On Track for Plus-up Equipment, New Requirments
Murtha and other libs claim the Army is not ready to increase numbers in Iraq due to equipment issues. The Army responds. Murtha is a traitor to the troops, he is a loyalist to the democrat party. His
"slow bleed" strategy is the democrat strategy. This actually puts the troops in more danger now than anything else.

Donald Russo is full of crap
Russo, you are one of the most dishonest people i have ever witnessed.

Oh we do? Where is that proof? Typical liberal, just make s--- up, show us where and how you have known "for weeks" Donald that Bush was pressuring the military. Did this come out at the news conference? You are pathetic. Of course you return to your old stompin' ground Don, Bush lied about WMD's. Ok, in 1998 Clinton said exactly the same thing, was he lying? Much intel used by Bush was acquired under Clinton's CIA but since you are a liberal lawyer Don truth doesn't matter much to you. By the way aflatoxin, ricin, Sarin, Mustard gas, Botulinum, Brucella, Crimean Congo Hemorragic Fever, banned rockets, over 500 chemical filled munitions (albeit dated) were all found in Iraq. Much more was found and reported by David Kay and others. WMD's were found Donnie, just not in the quantities expected, but still enough to kill 100,000's of people if used properly. Attorney Russo just plays intellectual dishonesty when it comes to this issue and always has.

The Army major was responding to an editorial in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, which like the Morning Call has a liberal editorial staff. This is what the Army major said to them which in turn his is also saying to Donald Russo.
I read last week's Star Tribune Editorial that made me sick. They tried to infer we are creating evidence over here and that somehow Pres. Bush was behind it. I am sending you the slides for proof of Iranian involvement and the manufacturing and employment of these lethal weapons called EFPs.
Between you and me, we have nothing in our current inventory that can stop an EFP not even an M1 Tank armor. That is why these d*** weapons were brought out into the public's eye. Our soldiers over here know, if an EFP hits their vehicle at least 2-3 of the 5 occupants will die, no questions asked. The reason we went public was to save Soldiers' lives and that is it.
By going public we felt two things would happen. One, the American public would see first hand the nefarious activities of Iran and how they are aiding the enemy here in Iraq and two by exposing the Qods Force (their greatest fear) we would either cause them to go home or prevent others from coming in. Our President was firmly behind us and even when others flinched, he stood up for us and more importantly the American Soldier. For those who say these weapons aren't that dangerous or can be easily defeated, I would ask any of these skeptics to come on over and ride in the front passenger seat in a HUMVEE (a.k.a the death seat) and take a stroll around Baghdad. For those who doubt the legitimacy of the Qods Force ties and the impact of their influence I would say watch what happens in the next few months. I would venture to say we will see a significant drop in the employment of these weapons.
Our overriding intent is to save lives and if this means that one soldier is saved by our going public, then it is worth it, especially if it was your son.
We also have the government of Iraq on our side on this so this is not just about our troops anymore. If you know of someone who might want to provide counter argument to the Star Tribune, please provide them with my comments and the slides.

The 2nd ID is conducting ops in Baghdad with the goal of destroying terrorists and their hideouts. The 2nd ID was for a long time, the Army division stationed in South Korea. Now they have their Striker brigade in Iraq.

Extortion by Murtha
Pelosi's personal jet is in question and John Murtha is a thug. It seems that Rep. Murtha, the one who wants to deploy our troops to Okinawa even though we signed an agreement to remove troops a few years ago, is trying to extort the Pentagon and our soldiers. Nancy Pelosi, the first female Speaker of the House, wants a big USAF jet to travel around in. The Pentagon has apparently said no to the request for a larger jet. Murtha then enters the fray. Murtha said that the Pentagon was making "a mistake" "since she decides on the allocations for the Department of Defense." So if they don't let her use a larger USAF jet, Pelosi might cut defense programs or make life miserable for the Pentagon.
Pelosi is an arrogant bitch.

A Tale of Two Headlines
The Allentown Morning Call ran two two budget stories on the front page, above the fold, this past Tuesday and Wednesday. It is a tale of two headlines because of the blatant bias of the Morning Call staff.
The Tuesday headline is "SPENDING $2.9 TRILLION". This story is about President Bush's proposed budget. Of course everyone knows that the House of Representatives is responsible for the bills that deal with the budget.
The Wednesday headline is "Ambitious Plans Call for Higher Taxes". This story is about the MCall's favorite liberal governor, Fast Ed Rendell.
The plan for PA is to cut taxes and regulations on businesses, not add to them Ed.
Stupid plan but the bias of the MCall is clear in the headlines.

IRAQ THE MODEL

Maybe but here at the PIE we believe this is not the beginning but moves to help the beginning of the operation work better.
Operations have been ongoing but the pace will be picking up soon. Iraqi forces need to increase their manpower in some units and must begin the tactical phase of the operation. Sand table exercises and rehearsals are underway now so the main movement is going to be very soon. This will not be an operation of armored power but boots on the ground.
If the forces are allowed to do whatever is necessary under the ROE, then coalition forces in Iraq will prevail.
The US Military can not be defeated. The will of the people can be defeated. The media plays the enemy in this battle. Just like TET, this could be a smashing military victory with defeat claimed by the MSM and liberals.
