Thomas Sowell on ObamaCare

One of my favorite thinkers is Thomas Sowell. His logic is ....

A cynic is said to be someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. If so, then it is political cynicism to point to other countries that spend less on medical care, including some countries where there is “universal health care” provided “free” by their governments.

Plenty of them around these days.
One of them I had a discussion with on the MCall website. Of course he was also ignorant and claimed that Canada's system was great. He claimed he knew "some people"
who knew some Canadians.
Here is just one number from Sowell's piece.

In Canada, 27 percent of the people who have surgery wait four months or more. In Britain, 38 percent wait that long. But only 5 percent of Americans wait that long for surgery.

Obama and the democrat party ARE FASCISTS

I have been calling the Obama administration fascist for some time now. In fact, the entire national democrat party is fascist.
At Armed And Dangerous they lay out the explanation of fascism.

From Benito Mussolini: “Fascism should more properly be called corporatism, since it is the merger of state and corporate power.”

This quote is often misconstrued nowadays by leftists who view profit-making corporations under capitalism (especially multinational corporations) as instruments of the devil. They love the implied image of capitalist fat-cats and fascist dictators conspiring in gilded opulence. Alas for them that this quote actually doesn’t imply anything like that; the terminological ground under it has shifted.

In fascist theory, “corporations” were bodies like unions, craft guilds, professional societies, and grange associations. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporatism for discussion; see especially the section “Italian fascist corporativism”.

What Mussolini was actually enunciating was a sort of organic statism in which the state would bless or admit representatives of various “corporations” into its governing councils — and no, that didn’t mean Fiat or Beretta but (say) the Abruzzo Building Trades Association, or the Society of University Professors.

This is clearly what Obama/Pelosi/Reid are doing with Rahmmie boy behind them.

Obama and the ‘Noble Lie’ by Victor Davis Hanson on National Review Online

Obama and the ‘Noble Lie’ by Victor Davis Hanson on National Review Online

Victor Davis Hanson hits the nail on the head

One of my all-time favorite intellects, Victor Davis Hanson, demostrates Obama's "noble lie" practice and how the silly Americans fall for it.
I have been saying that people who voted for Obama are socialists, like my neighbor Terry Haas, or are ignorant of politics, government, economics, military affairs, and many other important issues. Obama counts on the latter to help get his fascist policies through. The media is blind.

The irony is that during the Obama administration’s first six months, we have seen ample evidence of noble lies.

Instead, Obama seems to believe that fudging on facts is not fudging, but simply offers a competing narrative that gains validity by its good intentions. Most Americans, Obama further believes, are either too dense or too uneducated to discern his misinformation. But they will at some future date appreciate the global good will that results from his feel-good mytho-history.

That is exactly what Obama believes. He is an elitest.

Edie Falco plays a nurse so she is in favor of government health care

The star of the Showtime series "Nurse Jackie" and HBO's "The Sopranos" appeared at a rally and met with lawmakers on behalf of Health Care for America Now!, an advocacy org of more than 1,000 organizations pushing for affordable coverage. The group also supports the contentious plan for the public plan option, which would compete with private insurers.

"I can't imagine anything possibly being wrong with a public option," Falco said by phone, adding that it will ultimately will help drive down costs with the competition it poses to private insurers.

From Variety.

Edie Falco really is a dumbass. I would just love to debate these Hollywood types.

Melanie Phillips tears Obama a new ass

Melanie Phillips gives Obama a new one. She writes about Iran and how one of the most ignorant presidents in our history is abandoning freedom for consultations with the mullahs.

This is the regime before which Obama has been grovelling. We have learned from the Washington Times (whose reporter is apparently being thrown out of Iran) that before the disputed Iranian election, Obama sent a letter to supreme Leader Khamanei, holding out the prospect of ‘cooperation in regional and bilateral relations’ and a resolution of the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program. Surprise surprise – the outcome of this craven display of weakness was mockery of the US by Khamanei.

Now the Obama administration has got really tough! It has cancelled its invitations to Iranian diplomats to attend Independence Day celebration parties -- the very parties that only the day before, in his pathetically feeble press conference, Obama said that the ‘Iranians will have to decide whether they want to attend’. The Iranians must indeed be quaking now. It would be laughable were it not so serious that such a clown is in the White House, and at such a time.

Dana Bacher, literary agent and Obama/Soros shrill

Dana Bacher's name has come up in the Morning Call lately. She is a "brownshirt" in Obama's fascist move to control America. She is also a contributor to the Obama campaign having given $234 dollars. She also probably added more in other ways but..
She works for Rodale Press, a big liberal health company which publishes health books and magazines. She is a typical California-educated dummy. Dana Bacher is just ignorant of the facts. I think Twain said something about the amount of education doesn't mean you are educated and Dana Bacher sure fits this Mark Twainism to a T.

Obama supporter and volunteer organizer Dana Bacher said there have been plenty of debates, even among former campaign volunteers, about the direction Obama has taken.

In addition to reforms aimed at cutting costs, improving care and stressing prevention, the administration has proposed supplementing private insurance with a ''public option'' that allows the uninsured to purchase coverage through a group plan similar to the one that covers federal workers.

While there are plenty of details still to be filled in, that's not quite the ''single-payer'' government-run approach some supporters were hoping for.

Still, Bacher said, there's nearly universal agreement that coverage needs to be expanded to those without insurance and that costs need to be brought under control.

''I think Barack Obama is right in articulating the principles. We can all rally behind the principles,'' Bacher said. ''I tend to think something like this is going to make everyone a little unhappy. That's what good compromise is about.''

Hey asshat Dana Bacher, why should I compromise my family's health when I work exceptionally hard to provide for them only to let people like yourself try to take it away. Dana Bacher lives in a very nice neighborhood so maybe she can afford to give her money to the government. I give more time and money to help people than Dana Bacher ever will and now she wants to enable Obama to take more.

Friday morning music selection

Some Skynyrd to start the weekend.
Makes me want to go out and stomp on some fascist democrats!

UN and AL Gore want us to get around in rickshaws

Here is a critique on the UN climate report that is making its way to the media.
Of course man-made climate change is bullshit but the fascist democrat party will keep trying to curtail American freedom.
"The U.N.’s report contains the most serious economic errors of the three reports we review. It argues for radical changes in industrial and agricultural policy that would have disastrous economic consequences and would likely result in widespread impoverishment and mass starvation. It mistakenly claims that increased labor productivity results in unemployment. As a
result it advocates moving to less productive modes of transport, farming, and energy production.

:Taking people out of taxies and putting them into rickshaws, forcing people to use more labor to produce fewer crops, and doing more work to produce the same amount of energy would plunge society back to pre-modern standards of living. Humanity has advanced as productivity has increased. As the labor force has expanded so have the number of jobs to be done. The U.N. report amounts to a call for a return to the stone-age."

This comes from the Beacon Hill Institute at Suffolk University.

Obama's health care is going to destroy the private insurance companies.

Stephen C Smith needs to read this.
Rich Lowry is always on it.
When speaking of Obama, Lowry writes this piece.

This makes it all the more remarkable that he often appears unable to understand how his health-care program threatens private insurance. At a recent press conference, Obama argued that the very notion of it doesn’t compute: “If private insurers say that the marketplace provides the best-quality health care, if they tell us that they’re offering a good deal, then why is it that the government — which they say can’t run anything — suddenly is going to drive them out of business? That’s not logical.”

Stephen C Smith from Bethlehem is today's George Soros-funded Idiot of the day

Here is a letter to the Morning Call editors. This is in today's paper and is written by Stephen C. Smith of Bethlehem PA. Stephen is using the George Soros funded talking points when he writes his letter.

Americans need single-payer health care

June 26, 2009

Our nation needs health care reform. We are the only industrialized nation without single payer. Recent polls show the majority of Americans are in favor of such a plan.

The main deterrent blocking this action is the lobbying by pharmaceutical and insurance companies and the millions of dollars they feed to both political parties. As a moral and religious society we need to demand that every citizen be covered under this plan.

A major source to fund single payer lies inside Wall Street. The Wall Street Journal reported that in 2008, nearly $5 trillion in derivative trading occurred. By putting a 2 percent tax on this trading nearly $10 trillion could be raised each year. We pay 6 percent in sales tax to buy life's necessities, taxing speculators will help pay our life's insurance.

Under this plan, Americans will profit, companies will profit and our school systems will profit. We need to tell Congress to close the door on lobbying handouts and put our nations health needs over their political greed.

Here is my reply to him.

Steven Smith , first off I see you are listening to the Soros funded groups who sent out emails to Obama contributors telling them to write letters to the editor of their local paper. Same emails that told people to organize again and agitate for single-payer health care. Talk about being mind-numbed robots. Obama is talking about costs, that means lower the quality or deny procedures that would prolong an individuals life in favor of, as Obama himself put it, "take some pain medication." That was his answer, take pain meds instead of having the procedure.
I could go on and give many examples of Canadians not getting good health care or the British but I will leave Steven Smith with just one question.
How is it that when the Obama says when need more money for education instead of cutting education costs but he then says we need to cut costs of everyone's health care, people like yourself do not see the disconnect here? One other item Steven Smith, approximately 10-15 million people do not have health insurance. The number you give is one that includes illegal aliens and people who choose not to have health insurance. There are already government plans such as Medicare that are for people who, throught means testing, receive health insurance. Those government-run programs are in trouble and you want to put everyone into the same sinking ship. Liberal groups and the media throw the 48 million out there without even checking the facts.
Oh and one more point Steven Smith, over 60% of Americans are AGAINST a single -payer plan, if you read the entire poll that you quote you would have seen this. Instead you rely on talking points sent by George Soros funded organizations.
If the government is going to take over my individual health plan then the government is in total control of my life. I will in legal terms become a ward of the state. That is not what American principles are about.
This would mean that the government will control my health from birth, indoctrinate children in public schools, tell them what they can drive, where they can live and how much money they can make. This would be in reference to Obama deciding how much money a person can EARN, which he has done through the TARP program.
Liberals like yourself Steven are the problem.
By the way, Wall Street is where people invest their private money so if they EARN a profit that is their business Steven, not yours or the government, so you really are saying that Obama should increase taxes on individuals who EARN money in the stock market. Your class warfare schtick is old. Individuals who put money in IRA's or other stocks are all speculators Steven. Are you this ignorant of macro economics? No to government control of our lives!

LInda Kellen Biegal is disgusting and a typical democrat

Linda Kellen Biegal has a blog called Blue Oasis. She is a democrat party operative who works on smearing Governor Sarah Palin. Take a look at her, she calls herself celtic diva. First off, if you call YOURSELF a diva, you have an awfully high opinion of yourself. This trait is also typical of liberals. They call Palin trailer-park trash well Linda Kellen Biegal is really what trailer-park trash is all about. It is an attitude, not a look. Linda Kellen Biegal has the proper attitude.
Linda Kellen Biegal claims on her blog that she put a talk show host's face, Eddie Burke, on Trig Palin's body. Therefore Linda Kellen Biegal claims she is not mocking a child with Down's Syndrome.
Why not take a picture of Burke and Palin and do something that way? I will tell you why Linda Kellen Biegal didn't do it that way. It was meant to mock Trig Palin,Sarah Palin, and Burke. Biegal intentionally wanted to use Trig and then claims it is Burke's face, which it appears to be but by using Trig's body she included him. Maybe Burke and Palin holding hands or something like that could have been photoshopped but she chose specifically with malicious intent, to use Trig's photo.
Justice will visit you Linda Kellen Biegal. Give it time and it will arrive and I wish I could see your face and hear your voice when it does. Meanwhile take a look at Linda Kellen Biegal's family. They are making a guest appearance on Trailer-Park Boys which is exclusively on DirecTV. The daughter doesn't look like either parent except for the size, hmmmm.
